Notes:    Huge leaves, and the largest flower on any Japanese tree

Specimen at Takayama: if you go down the path from the right of House 5 to the Azukihama carpark there is a small tree about halfway down on the left about 5m in (it is not flowering yet so the pic below is from the web)
